Published as by John Blaine, actually written by Harold L. Goodwin (or mostly?).

A boy's adventure series, competing with Tom Swift on the SF side and some other things I never read on the mainstream sice. They're not as StFnal as Swift, but much better written, with more interesting things to do. And they interact a lot with new and even still-secret technology.

I only ever found one of these when I was vaguely the right age, and that came from the summer down in Richmond VA. I've borrowed some from friends and found a batch on Project Gutenberg so I've since read many more than I ever did while I was in the age bracket. They're still fun. (The one I had was #12, The Electronic Mind Reader).
